Career Champions

What is the Career Champions Program?

Students who have opportunities to plan for their careers are more likely to be successful. Our Career Champions program was created to equip staff, faculty and student leaders across UC Davis with the tools to support students' career planning and development.

What is a Career Champion?

Career Champions are members of the UC Davis community who contribute to student success by supporting students' career development inside and outside of the classroom. They do this in the following ways:

  • Contribute to a culture of career awareness in their department, unit, organization or college
  • Know how to make meaningful referrals to the Career Center and other support resources
  • Communicate the value of career exploration and career readiness to their students and peers
  • Practice using high-impact tools and techniques during their interactions with students
