While the Career Center advising staff can assist you in identifying internship opportunities, academic credit is granted through academic departments and graduate groups. Check with your academic department regarding their policies. Often a 92/192 course code is used, for which many departments use a standard internship for credit form. However, some departments have other documentation they require, so check with your academic advisor for more information. Be sure to get the CRN # from the department.
The UC Davis Academic Senate has established guidelines to determine whether academic credit should be granted in connection with an internship. Departments may adopt complementary guidelines for when academic credit is appropriate.
