BioLaunch Program
Carrie is the BioLaunch Fellows Program coordinator and senior career advisor. A native of Southern California, she earned a BA degree in Biology and Spanish from Pomona College in Claremont, California, a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Master’s degree in (Counseling) Psychology from Capella University. Her career spans diverse roles in health care, Public Health, and science education, including 15 years in Health Education and promotion in a rural, medically underserved community. In addition to teaching BioLaunch courses, she conducts one on one advising appointments with BioLaunch Fellows. She is excited to help students broaden their perspective on what is possible in the world of Biology, and to help them pursue roles which inspire them. In her free time Carrie enjoys reading SF/Fantasy novels and finding cat memes to share with her classes.
