Marcie Kirk Holland serves as the executive director of the UC Davis Career Center. Finding innovative, yet practical ways to help students explore career options, apply their coursework and gain experience through internships and other hands-on opportunities is a core mission of the Career Center. Marcie believes that unless and until career preparation is embedded into every student’s experience, those that need it the most will be least likely to have access. She takes joy in building partnerships which help UC Davis Aggies Launch careers they find meaningful and watching the organizations they work for flourish. Originally from Colorado, Marcie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Environmental Conservation. She earned an M.S. in Counseling (Career Emphasis) from California State University Sacramento. She has decades of experience teaching undergraduate career courses at UC Davis and, graduate courses in career counseling at regional campuses.
