Spencer serves as an interim associate director at the Career Center, where he provides management support for the Employer Engagement team, Engineering and Physical Sciences team, and Workforce Development program. He has been at the UC Davis Career Center since 2019. 

Prior to working at the Career Center, Spencer held a wide range of job titles: English teacher, graphic designer, recording artist, knife salesman, university housing manager, published author, sorority advisor, camp counselor, barista, and concert promoter. Spencer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, a Master of Education in Teacher Leadership, and a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Analysis. When not at work, he can be found reading and dancing with his son, cooking with his partner, hiking with his dog, or visiting his family in Sonoma County.
